First Time Flyer

So we just got back from our California trip, It was a blast! Thanks MOM! This was also Madison's first time flying she was so excited. We had a early morning flight, I had called the airport the night before and they told me to arrive 2 hours early, I let them know that we were on the 6:30am flight she said 2 hours. So the next morning Dave and Kay drove us to the airport we arrived at 4:30am we went in and there were no line at the Southwest Gate, come to find out from a worker that the employees for Southwest don't arrive till 5am yeah!! So we waited and then check in. Madison was exciting boarding the airplane and getting on. As the plane was taking off Madison says out loud " I'm a first time flier" what a cutie.

ER Drama

So my little man had to go to the emergency room for his first time Sunday. :( :( We were having a wonderful Sunday morning, having breakfast and just hanging out, when Hunter decided to get out his ball and play which he has done many times. He was running and kicking the ball when he tripped and cut his little head wide open on the hinge of the french door. Steve and I thought he had just hit his head till we saw blood gushing, I ran in a panic like any normal mother while Steve was telling me to be calm, I calm down held the washcloth to his head and headed to the hospital. Hunter was fine when we got there looking at the fish tank playing with Madison. The nurse took us in the back to the room, where he was still fine till the doctor came in and was looking and cleaning it up it. The nurse numbed him with topical cream and then the doctor went at him with 5 staples it was so sad, but he was such a good little boy. He are some gruesome pictures of my little guy.

PiNk HaiR

Madison came with me a couple days ago when I was getting my hair done. Madison was just going to get a trimmed, but Megan ask if she wanted some PINK hair extensions and she said yes and was so excited.

HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY MOM!!

We went out and had a some yummy sea food for dinner and then followed up with some bowling, which both the kids loved playing. They wanted to carry the ball all by them self, Madison did ok but Hunter could almost carry, but we helped so he wouldn't have a squished toe. Madison was so excited when she knock down all of the pins and got her first strike. My mom and Steve were the high bowlers though. Happy Birthday Mom. :)

Christmas Day

Christmas morning I woke up early to get ready thinking the kids would be up early, nope the kids and Steve slept till almost 9am. Madison has been talking almost since November about this Strawberry Shortcake doll that she has wanted, and Hunter new word and favorite toy has been any type of ball, so we thought the perfect gift would be a Disney Cars Ball Pit. When they came down the stairs he was yelling "ball, ball" over and over, Madison ran to her doll and wanted us to open it immediately. Thank you Santa!! We open all the gifts from Santa, and then Steve's parents and my parents, brother and sister came over for breakfast. After breakfast the kids open all the gifts from Steve and I, the kids big gift from us was Lego sets which the kids love to play with for hours.

Later that day we went to my parents house where we open gifts, almost the whole tree was for the kids, Madison got her Glow Station that she has been talking about, Hunter got lots of trucks and this jacket that he looks so handsome in and many many more gifts. We had a wonderful Christmas dinner and then played lots of games, the favorite was Hungry Hippos and bowling.

Quick funny story, the bowling set that Aunt Ashley and Uncle Colt gave was the biggest present under my mom's tree and Madison knew that present was to her and Hunter from them, all of December she would go up to the present and let every one know that she thought it was a big screen TV for her. But she forgot all about that when she open the gift.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we went to Roseann's annual party, Lauri and her girls were there, as were Grandma Kay and Grandpa George. They had lots of yummy food, Madison was very intrigue with Bill, Lauri's brother in law, he was talking to Santa on his cell phone and Madison was eating it up. Hunter was running wild as always. She was so excited for Santa to come she couldn't wait to get home.

Temple Lights

We had a blast freezing our butts off at Temple Square. Hunter we knew would go crazy over the lights, he was pointing and talking his talk at the lights, he was glued to them. Madison loved them as well but she end up switching places with Hunter, because she said she was to cold to walk and Hunter was happy to get out of the stroller and run crazy towards the lights and water fountains. We seem to always pick the coldest night to go. But it was lots of fun and the kids loved it!!

Steve will probably kill me for posting this of his little guy, but I was going out to get the mail and Hunter so badly wanted to come and I haven't bought any snow boots for him, so I let him borrow Madison pink ones. He could stop running and playing in the snow. He was also in his pj's with the boots on top.

Allred Christmas Party

We had the annual Allred Family Christmas Party, and my family was in charge of it this year. We had as always ham,cheesy potatoes, salads and yummy strawberry cake and other yummy deserts. We had a fun craft for the kids, make your own ornament. Pinatas Santa and Frosty the Snowman, it was kinda sad though telling the kids to hit frosty with the stick. It was so much fun and nice to see everyone. It was a little sad because this was the first Christmas without Grandpa Allred.
