San Diego ZOO

After arriving in San Diego and picking up Uncle Brett we went straight to the Zoo. We took a bus ride that went around 70% of the Zoo, it was well worth it because the Zoo is HUGE!! Madison had a blast being carried most of the way by Uncle Brett. We saw everything from hippos, giraffes, elephants, lions, pandas, flamingos, monkeys and so much more. It wasn't as warm as we planned, so that's why we are all bundle up and drinking hot chocolate. In the picture below with Madison and the monkey, it was so cute every time she put her hands on the glass the monkey would too, it would also start clapping his hands and bouncing all around.
I finally found it, I have been looking for a giraffe piggy bank for Hunter and I found one at the Zoo yeah!! If you are also wondering where Hunter is we decided to leave him back home with Aunt Lauri, where he had so much fun being with all the girls and Uncle Tom.

So below are pictures of how it looked when we got back from dinner and the zoo the first night. Talking with the server at dinner he said this is the most rain San Diego has gotten in one week for over 20 years. There were policemen on almost every corner directing traffic, because people didn't know how to drive in this weather, and the water drains weren't getting the water off the street fast enough. The second picture is the sidewalk and newspaper stand completely covered in water.
