First Grade!!

Madison started the big first grade last week! Madison has been so excited to eat lunch at school and go for the whole day!  Her teacher is Mrs Nuttall, and we just love her.  I can't believe she goes all day and doesn't have lunch with me anymore :(  Madison loves first grade, and tells me all the things she does at school. This week in school they get to start going to computers, library and art, she can't wait.  We are so lucky to have such a sweet, wonderful, cute little goose! We love you and have so much fun at school!

Hunter's 4th Birthday

My little guy is now 4 years old! Where does the time go. Hunter has been talking about having a Jake and the Neverland Birthday Party for months, it is his favorite show on Disney channel and after seeing Jake at Disneyland that is all he talks about. We also decided to have a friend party, he was so excited to invite all his friends. The night before the party I blew up the long balloons and made balloon swords for the kids to have sword fights.
At the kids party we had a bounce house for the kids to play in, we had the balloon swords, I was going to have a little treasure hunt and pin the sword on Jake, but the boys just wanted to jump from the bounce house to the trampoline, then to the play set and swings. We had pizza, cupcake and ice cream. Hunter had so much fun opening all the present, then it was back to the bounce house.
Later that same night we had the family party. Mom made yummy chicken, lots of yummy salads and sides. Hunter was so excited opening all his present, he loves to play with Madison's big kid Lego's, so he got lots of Lego's from everyone, a basket ball hoop, pirate ship and Jake's ship with all the charaters. He also wanted everything put together the second he opened it. Hunter had a wonderful birthday, we love you Hunter!! Happy 4 th Birthday!!

Wizard of Oz Dance Recital

Madison Dance Recital theme this year was Wizard of Oz.  Madison's group were little Dorothy's and they were so cute.  Madison has been dancing with Jazz N Place now for 3 years and loves it.  I thought Madison look so much like Dorothy with her little braids hanging down in front.  After the show she got flowers from Mom,Dad and Hunter, and lots of hugs and kisses from everyone.   We took her out to eat at one of her favorite restaurants Red Lobster, where she gets her favorite, crab legs.  We love you Madison and you danced so good we our so proud of you!

Last day of Kindergarten

Madison has finished Kindergarten.  Madison has learned so much this year I can't even believe it.  Madison is reading books, writing words in a sentence, knows her number's 1-100, all her ABC sounds and so much more.  We have just loved Mrs Mikulecky, Madison was always excited to go to school and learn and play with all her new friends.  Mrs Mikulecky said that Madison is a friend to everyone and included them in everything she did.  We are so proud of our little girl.
We are very sad though, this was Mr Armstrong's last year as a Principal, he has been such a great Principal, and has known Madison since she was born.  He has been a good friend to our family, and we will surely miss him

End of School Program

I am a little behind on my posting, so I am updating the last couple months.
Madison had her Kindergarten Program a couple days before school got out.  It was super cute, they sung lots of songs, the kids were split into 3 groups and they all had a part to read in a story.  Madison's group read Goldilocks and the three bears, Madison was Goldilocks.  Her group was so good and they all got into characters, they were awesome.  The last song was about going into to 1st grade :(  We have loved Mrs Mikulecky and we are going to miss her.

Crazy Hair Day

Madison's school had crazy hair day last week.  We decided to put a water bottle in the middle of her head and pulled the hair up around it.  I thought it look great.  Madison got to school and was kinda shy, until everyone keep telling her how cool it looks, then she wasn't shy anymore.  Madison came home to tell me how everyone loved it and she had the coolest hair in class.

Donut Day with Dad

Madison school had Donut day with Dad a couple weeks ago.  It is where the Dads or any parents can come and read with their kid and have a donut together.  Madison was super excited to have Steve come and read with her.  She had pick out plenty of books to read with Steve at class.  Madison loved showing him around the classroom, where she sits in class and all the art work she has done.  Madison was all smiles having her Dad come.

Sleepy Hunter

The other day Hunter was playing in his room, and I would peek in on him as I was picking up the house.  It was about 15 minutes later, I thought he sure is being quiet he must be up to something, so I went up to his room and this is how I found him.  Sound asleep under his bed, what a little cutie!!  I end up leaving him fast asleep for a hour or so before I woke him up!

Easter

Easter was a wonderful again this year. The Easter Bunny left the kids with baskets full of Lego's, movies and treats. We did a little Easter Egg Hunt at our house Easter morning, the kids found over 70 eggs filled with chocolate's and quarters. When then headed over to Nana's for another Egg hunt and dinner. Nana had also gotten them Easter baskets full of goodies and toys.  The kids had fun finding all the Easter eggs that were hidden at Nana's.  After a yummy dinner we went outside to play some baseball and fly our kites, it was a nice and relaxing Easter.
